This was a bit different. I liked recording my trip across Japan and decided to take it a step further by actually making it a kind of show. I never finished it (but the raw footage is somewhere), but the episodes I did do I enjoyed.
Now, I could have sworn I wrote emails/journals as well, but for the life of me I can’t find any. Then I thought about it and realized I had cut myself off on purpose – at least in this regard. Maybe I thought a journal would be redundant. The intention was to make a more complete video journal and try and make it like a TV show.
The problem was the quality of the video and the limitations of the editing software. I suspect if I did something like this now it would be far easier for me. But at least I was trying something different.
On my next bike adventure (either Vancouver to Alaska or Vancouver to California) I might build off what I learned here and try something more ambitious.
But I won’t forget to write a journal as well
